Texas, Oklahoma Meet
We are having a meet and greet family picnic for Texas, Oklahoma and the surrounding areas! There was a meet earlier this year in Oklahoma and due to the overwelming response, another has been planed for this August in Texas. The picnic will be at Lavon Lake in Wylie, Tx. Check out the attached link for further information and fee free to e-mail me.
Anyone and everyone is invited to come join this great event. Among those invited are the great people from this board, Chevytalk, Metroplex Muscle Car Club and North Texas Camaro Club. We encourage all those with new or old chevy's to come on out. It doesn't matter what year, model or condition. Just bring it and enjoy the day. The meet is being put on by the "Southern Bowties" club. There are three main people responseable for this event and funding the space. they are the founding members of Southern Bowties - Brandon Hicks (aka 79Big10), Will Evans (aka Smokie55), And Ryan Chrisenberry (aka 67_SS396). The deatils are outlined in the link below. If you have any questions contact one of us. Our email links are on the event site. The event is not really a car show. So no trophys or plaques. It is a place for local and national club members to get together and share their love for their rides. Have a little fun. And enjoy a hot summer day. This event will be fun for the whole family. There will be Horse shoes and volleyball along with plenty of time in the lake if you like. We hope to meet and see plenty of folks from DFW and the surrounding areas that can make it out. Thanks, and we hope to see you Aug. 3rd. http://www.geocities.com/smokie1955/..._family_picnic

Sounds cool but I don't know if you'll want my truck anywhere near something nice...I would hate to compromise someones hard work & effort by parking my 'dents w/wheels' in the next spot. Perhaps you can save me a spot in the back...wayyyy back!

Chevy man 68: You aren't far from Wylie. Gilmer is maybe and hour or an hour and a half. E-mail me and I'll give you directions.
We don't care what your ride looks like just as long as YOU are proud of it. That's why this event is called the Chevy PRIDE family picnic. Nobody will put you or your car/truck down for how it looks. We just want to get other Chevy/GM enthusiests(sp?) together to have a great and to bring people with similar interests together and hopefully to make a bunch more friends. *Remember, be sure to register so we can save you a spot with similar year and style vehicles as yours!* How about you Waco guys, I've seen a few of you here. That's my old stomping grounds, I like to see some of ya'll come on up. It's only a two hour drive for ya. I'm curious to see if any of ya'll are some that I used to run with or not.

If you register and then can't make it, we'll send out a wild pack of dogs to hunt you down.! If you can't make it, it's not that big of a deal. If we know ahead of time then we could use your space for someone else. But we'd love to have you come out.

We have updated the site and made it much friendlier to the eye. We are currently working on finallizing the parking maps and will have them available to all those registered. Remember, if it's a Chevy or GM product and you're proud of it, bring it out or if you just like to look at these great rides or visit with fellow Chevy & GM enthusiatsts, come on out! Other events, before and after are in the developing stages, I'll keep you posted. Maybe a Keller's run or a run to ??

Count me in too, won't make reservations 'til the last minute though. I've got one of those jobs that's pretty unpredictable.
