Wet Weather Tires
I need to buy some 235/75-15 tires for the 72 and since it rains a lot here I need a good wet weather tire. Very little snow, no mud, just rain.
Suggestions? |

I swear by the Goodyear Eagle RS-A. I have used them for about 12-15 years and they perform very well in wet weather.

Bridgestone Revo - a bit stiff riding but very good handling and an excellent rain tire. I put them on our Grand Cherokee last year and have been happy with them. No tendency to hydroplane, unlike the Micheling LTXs that were previously on the Jeep.

I use the site A.P. posted , but read the reviews also some disagree with there evaluation .
Looks like the Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza were ranked the highest ,

Been using the TIRE RACK for 12 years now, another tire to consider are DUNLOP, I had them on my 87 Formula, they're alot nicer in the rain than people give them credit for, trust me, I tested them forwards, backwards, and sideways.

Revo looks a bit agressive, noisy? Anybody running Coopers or have experience with them?

No, the Revos are quiet. On some types of pavement you can just barely hear them, but it's just a soft whooshing sound, not a whine or howl like some snow tires. BTW the Revos on my Jeep are the same size you are planning on for your truck, on 15x7 rims. They are reputed to be very good snow tires but I can't personally verify that. During last winter's snows, I drove my truck and left the Jeep parked!

Bridgestone REVO's
Brigestone REVO's are the best tire I ever put on a pickup truck. Every other tire I have used would allow the back end of an empty pickup to 'move around' on wet roads, not the REVO. Very solid performer were it counts for vehicles that are light in the rear as our trucks can be. Have had my REVO's for about 2.5 years now and will buy them again for all of my trucks in the future.
