Pre-Runners 73- 87 Any pics

Does anyone have pics of pre-runners for our years, you know the one with the molded out fenders, lifted, full bed suspension for the rear end?

Jon did you ever find a front kit for our trucks? I'm needing a new front end kit and would love to get a prerunner style to lift mine up.

i havent looked in awhile... but as far as i know... the only "lift" kits available are coils, and tubular control arms.. like from fabtech... 4" lift cost $1400... umm no thanks... I would rather have lift spindles.. and will possibly work on that when i have the $$ or someone can give me the parts i need..

Thanks jon, I heard the fabtech were not that good, very over rated mainly paying for a name brand. Their website does list some parts but they don't seem to carry them.

I hear ya on that $$$. Where can you find the raised spindles? I always see the lowered ones but not the raised. Too bad we just can't flip the lowered ones LOL!!

Damn that just sucks. Do they not realize how popular our trucks are and then how many people want to specialize them to what we want? Come one vendors give us the goods

Ok... talk about resurrecting and old thread. But found more pics I thought I would contribute and keep them all in one place so they are easy to find later.

Re: Pre-Runners 73- 87 Any pics

I have a crazy question???? What the hell is the point of a rounded off fender on a square body truck that is lifted anyway? Please help me to understand this concept. It looks dumb and unoriginal, especially the 88-98 on the 73-87body.

Besides the 88-98 on the 73-87, like the red one I posted above what other one(s) are you talking about?

Some people like the look of the 88-98 front/rear ends on the 73-87s, at least when they are flared they don't look too bad. When someone tries to put a stock stepside bed on one though the body lines don't line up, but the 88-98 fiberglass is actually a conversion specifically for the 73-87.
Also when you are flaring and bulging it is hard to keep it "square" like the stock fender.

Re: Pre-Runners 73- 87 Any pics

Most of these trucks have like 16 inches of suspension travel and a round flare in fiberglass is easier and cheaper to make then a a box or square flare would be.And if they only make round flares your kinda stuck using them or making your own.
