Can I get a breakdown of the numbers sequence? I think I know what the first two sets of numbers stand for, but what about the 15? thanks

I have 255/60/15's in the front and 275/60/15's in the rear, they are real close on height. I really like the look and it handles nicely. Granted, you can't rotate when the rears get thinner than the front.

Nickbo. There was a post that I posted a few weeks ago on that. They explained and gave me a link to the website. If anyone could find the link to the post and to the website......
To bad there is no search function on this website. ------------------ Nick Rodenberg Wellington, MO http://nickrod.port5.com You can click on "My 72 Chevy Truck" I have a 72 Cheyenne 10 with a V8 350 and a TH-350 auto-tranny. Ochre/White/Ochre Runs well... working on body. Plan to get painted weekend before memorial day weekend. Planned to be done March 7 when I turned 16. Didn't happen. Chose to do better job and be behind schedule instead of 1/2 doing it and it looking like junk.

Heres the full deal. The first number is the width of the tire in millimeters. The second number is the "aspect number", basically the percentage of the width=sidewall heighth. The 3rd number is the rim width. So a 255/60/15 would 255 mm wide, the sidewall would be 255x60%, for a 15 inch rim.

While that is what it is supposed to be, you'll be hard pressed to find one that actually measures up that way.
You may as well call a 275/60 Bob, I have gone through many of them, and never had 2 brands that were the same size. I was rather disapointed when I got my B.F.G.s in this size, they were the skinnyest 275 I ever got. Don't look all that mean like the old Coopers did. At least they hook up. ------------------ '69 G.M.C. 350/350.
