WTB: 73-78 gauge cluster

I'm looking for a 73-78 gauge cluster for mocking up some aftermarket replacement gauges for my 74. I want basically everything behind the clear lense & don't need the actual interior side 'trim' bezel.

Prefer local (DFW) if possible as it gives the opportunity to network & meet others in the hobby but will take what's available.

Here's a pic of what I'm after:

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

How good of a cluster do you need? Does it need to have a clock? I have several housings and gauges if you don't find one locally.

Re: WTB: 73-78 gauge cluster

Gauges don't need to function. I really need all the plastic/tin housing stuff. I need one to gut it to fit the aftermarket stuff into so it fits behind the stock bezel.

I could use mine but I don't want to drive around w/o any gauges in the interim. When you get <10mpg, it helps to have an odometer when your gas gauge doesn't work!

Any pics & how much?

I'm interested. Pics would be good so we can make sure we're both talking about the same thing.

I remember there was a yard over off of I-30 & McArthur (sp?) that supposedly had quite a few of the 73-87's around. Post any info you can come up with.

Thanks guys!

I got mine at a place past Lavon Lake. I lived in Wylie so it was not a drive for me at all. It may be too far for you. There are e few up here in town if you can't find any I can see if there are any left up here.

Re: WTB: 73-78 gauge cluster

I Live in Lafayette Louisiana. I have those Exact gauges pictured. Does not work. But looks are in Excellent condition. I can get pictures if needed. Only thing wrong with the plastic is the piece i have highlighted in the picture is broken, so it doesnt show you what gear you are in.... I Also just purchased a pack of the White Gauge Overlays that you put over your gauges. Comes with all the different gauges, self adhesive and all. If you are interested let me know.

Scoti, I have a cluster housing with most of the gauges out of my 77 you are welcome to. I live in south Arlington, but I work in Desoto if you want to come pick it up over here.

Sounds good. I can try & make it out next weekend (early Sat?) or I can wait if you're going to the board 'mini-meet' on the 14th, whatever works better for you. Let me know here or PM me.
