steering wheel ?
I have a 79 with the wiper on the dash. Im looking at installing a tilt wheel but the one im looking at is out of a 84 with the wiper on the colum. What would I have to do to get it to work in my truck any ideas?

Re: steering wheel ?
Anything before '83 should have the what you want.

Re: steering wheel ?
I guess what I was asking was what all is involved in the swap? With the current wiper switch on the dash and the new one has it on the collum. What kinda of a pain would it be to move it from the dash to the collum?

Re: steering wheel ?
Oh, in that case it would be getting all of the wires sorted out and making the corrections.

Re: steering wheel ?
If you could get a wiring diagram for the new column then you could use some connectors to add to the new column with the old connections.

Re: steering wheel ?
I would love to swap mine out too. I hate having to reach down to turn on the wipers and there is no delay, which is a real pain in a drizzle. Anyone know where to find the wiring harness diagram?

Re: steering wheel ?
Actually, I think I'm gonna do a similar swap with my 80 sometime soon, goes along with installing a newer dash.
I personally prefer my headlight switch up on the column, along with the wipers. Far easier to get at everything As far as I can tell, it should be a fairly easy swap too! Just need to get a newer style dash bezel to cover the old switch hole
