Question I need help with guage wiring...

I have a '71 dash with only speedo and idiot lites and i want to swap it for a '72 full cluster dash but the wires are in different locations on the plugs. Is it as simple as matching colors and splicing the 72 plug to the 71 harness?

Follow the instructions in Strokers link and you will be fine. All you need is a small pocket screwdriver to get the pins out of the connector. Do one at a time, relocating per the instructions.

I did the swap which means just about anybody can do it. I recommend finding a loom at the junk yard so you can practice on how to remove the pins w/o buggering them up too much.
