body lift help?
i have a 1982 chevy 1/2 tons long bed 4x4 has a 6 inch tuff country lift on it im wanting to put a 3 inch body on it but i ran into a problem every kit i found does not come with bumper brackets does anyone know where i can get them

I think you have to cut the frame horns, raise 3 inches and weld back on.

I have never seen one that comes with bumper brackets. The front bumper is bolted directly to the frame and must be modified as pooz911 said. There are so many different rear bumpers that they could never get the right ones in a kit anyway.

If I remember right, We installed the 1st and 4th bolt (dont tighten all the way down) and used them as a pivot. Raised the bumper to the desired height and then welded the bracket to the frame and the bumper itself or if there is still enough metal left on the bracket, re-drill the holes to line up w/ the ones in the frame and bolt it all on.
