Re: Can someone explain this set-up????
It appears to pull from a single (central) location........I would avoid that. I would think that it would feel "sloppy" and roll around a lot, because there is nothing to stabilize it from side to side. The only thing keeping the body level would be the front suspension.

Re: Can someone explain this set-up????
Yeah that came from the folks at Silver Star Customs out of Mississippi.
He can sure come up with some different ways to make a truck go up and down.

Re: Can someone explain this set-up????
The owner, a large fellow who goes by the name of "Runt", owns that dually and drives the hell out of it. Its been from mississippi to Arizona and back. It rides pretty good and tucks a set of 19-inch dually wheels. You can read all about it in the October 2005 issue of Sport Truck Magazine. His truck is on the cover.

Re: Can someone explain this set-up????
Why do people do stuff like that to otherwise nice trucks. I know that I will step on some toes here but I can't even see doing a c-notch to the frame, seems like that would make it weaker.I really can't stand it when the frame raild and rear end come up into the bed and there is the gigantic hole there.

There's no way to appeal to everyone's taste with vehicles... so owners usually (hopefully) appeal to their own. I don't quite get the "look" this guy is going for with the chains, etc., but ultimately... it's his truck to do with as he pleases.

Re: Can someone explain this set-up????
If people didn't push the envelope then this hobby would not be as cool as it is. If nobody tried anything new, then there couldn't be any progression. Is that what you want?
PS - A c-notch is not weaker if it is done right.
