Can somebody tell me what this thingy is?
I was under my truck lookin at my TH-350 and I noticed a little tube on the drivers side just behind the bellhousing. It doesn't have any lines connecting to it and I was wondering if anyone knows what it is and if I should hook it up to something.

Little metal tube on top of the trans? Thats a breather for the transmission. and nothing to hook up to it that I've ever seen.
Little rubber tube hanging down from atop the engine? Thats possibly the vaccum line to the modulator valve on the transmission. |

I know its not my modulator, I hooked that one up with steel line and 2 little pieces of rubber hose on the ends.

Awesome thanks for the help. It will remain uncorked as I found it.
