Shaving the sides
I was wondering what to do to shave my doors and side markers.
Option #1- Cut piece of metal from 72 doors, fenders and bed sides and weld in place of door handle area, side markers. Option #2- Remove door handle and lock assembly then patch with filler plates of same thickness and just sell my 72 truck doors fenders and bed sides. I was likeing option one more because I wont have to use so much body filler. But what do you guys think and what have you guy's and gal's done. Thanks in advance.

Re: Shaving the sides
option 2 sounds like a much better plan. there is no sence in cutting up good doors for something you can make in 10mins. just go set some steel from the hardware store and bend it to the shape you need. if you take your time you won't need tons of filler. with either option however you will need filler.
