454 Grill Question

I have this 454 grill and I wonder what it would be worth if I were to sell it. Are these hard to find? Its in good shape, but I am not even sure what year it is. Thanks in advance.

Re: 454 Grill Question

To be honest, it isn't worth much at all, here is why (IMO).

1. The grill emblem is removeable...so having a "454" in a grill doesn't make the grill all that special.

2. Everything has been painted by someone...the grill and emblem. I would rather buy an un-painted grill and restore it myself or paint it the color(s) of my choosing.

With that being said, I wouldn't pay more than 10-15 for it. I have seen un-painted/modified 73-74 grills go for as little as $10 all the way up to $100...depending on condition of course. This was all on Ebay...I seldom see them at local swap meets.

Please don't take offense to my comments, I am just giving you my honest opinion.

EDIT: the grill is a 73-74...and will only fir those two years, unless you get the matching core support pieces off a 73-74 and use them in the later model truck.

Re: 454 Grill Question

I agree with Jeff on the same reasons. The only special thing about it is that it is for a 73-74 truck and no one reproduces those, BUT you need the other pieces as noted.
