1972/82/64 disc brake fun !!
Ok i got all the easy stuff done, spindles/control arms/airbags/discs/ yadda yadda left the part i knew was going to be a ***** until last... go to run my brake lines and nothing seems to work. Heres what i got.
- 72 disc hardlines from a truck dealer - master and booster from a buddy ( i suspect these to be drum/drum though) - 82 hoses from the caliper to control arm (front of control arm) The pieces running across the back of the crossmember are easy...well they are easy to place, not connected yet... I expect to have to do some fitting to get these lines to fit in my 64...but can you help me identify them...here we go This is the booster/master...equal resevoir size and a prop valve that looks different than the 71-72 disc prop that i bought used...in the next pic. The lines from the proportioning valve should run down and back towards the cab and then to a "t" near the frame rail on the drivers side... these 3 lines make no sense to me, the one short line i think...goes from the front of the drivers side upper control arm under the engine "tower" to the "t". THe bottom line has a huge 1/2" fitting on the left side of the pic, no idea where that is meant to fit. And a pic of my "routing source"
