Lower Control Arms

On my 72 if I mount my bags (Firestone 2600s) directly to the stock bottom control arm with no cup am I going to have any problems with the bag rubbing on the arm. The control arms are smooth in that area and have been coated with POR. Also am I going to have any problems getting enough ride height to get it aligned.

Re: Lower Control Arms

Yes ... they will rub. It has been debated here time and time again, but they WILL rub with no lower cups.

Rubbing equals abrasion. Abrasion equals eventually holes and "wear-thru." Wear-thru equals rapid deflation. Rapid deflation at driving speeds equals serious consequences to you, your passengers and anyone else who happens to be on that same stretch of roadway with you.

Please don't run the bags without lower cups.
