finished truck that needs some spice

I just finished restoring a 84 silverado back to original but I left the body molding off. Turned out great from a rust free one owner truck. Paint is navy blue but the truck needs some spice.........any suggestions? I plan to sell it but even though it is great it is too plain
Should I lower it?
Should I add body molding or some striping or something?
Anyone have any pics of some 81 - 87 spiced up?

some stirpes would be nice but if you went back to original and you have the rallies on it i would just sell it like that if it is as clean as you say some one will jump on it. and now is the time to profit. once you get into lowering the price goes up and it is a gamble weather others will go up to. just my .02 though

Mine's an 85 that I bought from my uncle who bought it new. Has just under 61k original miles and I had a guy follow me 6 blocks the other day to try and buy it from me.

If I were you, I'd replace the side mouldings if you haven't removed those two little pieces from the corner at the back of the bed. Just makes everything look better and it will be very nice when its contrasting with that blue paint. I's also lower it 4" out back and 2.5"-3" up front. It gives the truck such a nice stance. I suggest using the Belltech lowering kit if you do decide to go that route. It's a very high quality kit, you just need some of the right tools like an airchizzel and ball joint fork to get the job done.

Lowering the truck is probably the best way to do what you want. It makes it look like a whole new vehicle. Side mouldings are good if you like the look and are easy as hell to cut and apply. Hardest part is removing the old adhesive...

how much did you lower it and what size wheels did you add? This looks exactly like my truck othere than lowering and wheels

69 air cab that's not my truck. It belongs to forum member Odie82. I believe the truck is lowered 5/7 and I know the wheels are 17's. I don't remember the tire size though.

yeah thats my truck!!!!!here are some other pics of it, the rims are cragars, 17x9 with 275/40r17 tires, i think any truck looks good with some rims and a drop on it

Needs more tire out back. Way too low profile. Makes the wheels look funny.
