Re: Sleezebay find

Be careful with it. I bought a beautiful one like that from a junkyard for $5. When I got it home, I washed it off with just a soft cotton cloth and water. The "aluminum" part is apparently clearcoated, and that was enough to cause it to start flaking off. Now it looks just like my old one.

Re: Sleezebay find

Yea, I see those go anywhere from $5 to $50 on ebay, it's nuts.

If you find a tach cluster at the junkyard, shoot, you could take a day off from work, work on the truck, and still profit from it!

Re: Sleezebay find

I can't take it apart yet, its my only wheels!!!

As a matter of fact I haven't had time to do much other than start stripping the interior out of the brown truck. College + work + social life = not much truck time lately.

The only one available from dealer NOS is a golden/brownish brushed aluminum panel and its for the large radio's. I bought one but haven't installed it yet and they are pricey.

Btw that is a nice E-Bay find.

And FWIW, I'll be stripping more interior out of Brownie this weekend, maybe I'll have some pics. I'm hoping to start selling parts of it within the next month, but again, this isn't a forsale post
