1967 front suspension
I know I've ask part of this before and was told I could bolt in a cross member from a 73-82 to get my 5 lug and disc brakes, but I was just wondering if I plan to lower the truck a bit if there is a spindle availible that fits on my control arms that is both a drop spindle and converts to 5 lug disc, would this be a cheaper and easier way to go. Also the truck is a 1/2 ton yet sits fairly high, could someone have put in heavier springs, or did some of the factory ones sit high??
Thanks Hagen

Re: 1967 front suspension
I used an 88 suburban front suspension in my 67, The drop spindles might be cheaper for the newer models, the rest of the parts are. It doesn't look that high to me...

Re: 1967 front suspension
As long as you use a disc brake drop spindle you will be able to bolt on a 5 lug disc setup. I have found them at almost any one of the vendors or at www.earlyclassic.com lots of people use them for suspension parts. Come to think of it I dont' think I have seen a drop spindle that allowed you to use the drum brake setup.

Re: 1967 front suspension
As far as I know, there are no drop spindle drum kits. I looked long and hard before sucking it up and installing discs.
