lowering the rear on a 68
I have a 68 gmc longbed with leaf springs wanting to lower the rear with 2' shackles my question is how many leaf springs can i remove to give me a 4' drop i wont be hauling nothing in this truck

spend a little and have your leafs de-arched. Smother ride than just removing leafs. Or make your own axle flip kit. about $40.00.

im not sure that a 24" or 48" drop is possible. a 2" 4" is great idea but 4' is just plain insane!!!!!
axle flips are more work but it will sustain the current ride with all the drop you need. |

i was just trying to see how low it could go thanks for correcting me in foot and or inches i think i will just buy the leaf springs.

I think he was trying to say TWO INCHES and FOUR INCHES not feet. If you want a FOUR INCH drop I think that the flip kit gives you around that give or take an inch. IMO
