omfg, let me tell you how crappy that was to do. it seems like doing the truck will be a walk in the park compared to this mustang!

What year Mustang?

My 65 Fairlane was a breeze when it came to changing out the heater core. Actually I have never had a problem in any of my old Fords.

Of course none of my stuff is newer than 1965. My pickup is the newest thing I own and it dates from the Carter Administration.

I changed mine in a 95 mustang, had to drop the steering column and pull the entire dash out.

Check his sig. It's an 01 Mustang. Like all the newer cars you have to pull most, if not all of the dash to get it out....

Oh, that explains it.

Yep, that's part of the reason I have no desire to own some of these cars. They are great until something breaks. I like the idea of doing my own work.

actually, it wasnt nearly as hard as i thought it would be. good experience too.

you saved yourself alot of money too. We charge 8 hours to do one of those, of course it doesn't take that long but anything we have to pull the dash on is 8 hours...... at $80/hr

By far the worst job on a Mustang. On my 87 I had to remove the whole dash.
