Goodguys car show next weekend. Anyone going?
I have never been to a Goodguys car show before so i thought i would go next weekend. The car show is in Pleasanton, CA on Nov 11,12 2006. I want to go and get ideas for the truck and definately take tons of pics. Just curious if any other people where going? Has anyone been before? Is it a big car show. I have to drive 2-3hrs to go and don't want to be disappointed.
Josh

I don't know about CA but I go to the one in Des Moines Iowa and there is 2500-3000 cars there. I'd say you better have some good walkin' shoes....
Have fun and make sure you have the camera batts fully charged.... LockDoc

I go every year here in AZ it's by far one of one of the best car shows. Take some cash because there is alot of vendors there selling stuff and you can find some stuff way cheaper then you would pay for it online.

I go to most of the Pleasanton shows. The big one is in June but this one should be good also. You should see Lots of 67-72 in the car correl and some real tricked out ones in the show its self. They get $8 to park and $12 to get in but if you spend the time to look its well worth it. I'll most likly go just not sure what day.
Have fun and Yes wear some good walkin shoes.

I'm heading up to check out the show on sunday, and I've been the spring show about 2 yrs. ago. I loved it....the grounds are nice, plenty of room. Good mix of vehicles, classics, currents, trucks, rods, customs. Deffinitely bring a comfortable pair of walking shoes. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Sweet! I will definately charge the camera's batterie because i plan on takin alot of pics. I am going on Saturday because my new boat comes in on Friday and they need one day to do normal break in stuff and i don't want to be hanging out there all day bugging everyone! I will post alot of pics when i get back.

Re: Goodguys car show next weekend. Anyone going?
Hey I went to the show they had in N.C. There were a bunch of rides there. Like mentioned before. Better have a good set of walking shoes. I walked around for about 6 hours looking at all the cars and still didn't get to see all of them. I was only there for one day. My only regret. I did get some pictures of some trucks but nothing to brag over IMO.

there will be more cars than you will have time to look at in 2 days. some of the best stuff is usually in the sales area. bring lots of cash cause there will be tons of parts for sale.
i will be the big dude in brown overalls and a black back pack. see ya there. |

Re: Goodguys car show next weekend. Anyone going?
The ad in the newspaper said that there is supposed to be over 2,500 vendors, and at least 2,000 rides in the show. Also a model car show, hopefully the scale model engines will be there too.
I might drive the '62 C10 up there, depends if I can get a chance to bleed the brakes before then(changed rearends). If not, i'll be there on saturday with my nieghbor in his '74 stepside. David

Yep I will be going I think on sunday. Need to pick up some cab corners and rockers for my "project slow build". I'm thinking some day if I work on it, it might get closer to being done.
