Sounds like your valves could be stuck open on that side. Double check the wiring on the valves. The compressor probably isnt shutting off because its filling the bag too.
Are they brand new valves or used?

Re: Air Ride Troubles>
Do you have a tank gauge? If so, does it read past the shut off pressure of your pressure switch? What pressure switch are you running?
I agree that it sounds like the valve is either stuck open or is "on". If the compressor is not turning off, then it sounds like your pressure switch is bad. |

How do you have your valves set up? Sounds like you may have one backwards, or like said one may be stuck open. Are you running a pressure switch? What psi?

Re: Air Ride Troubles>
Thanks for the replys . The switch is 200psi. on 165 off /. It runs all the time i am thinkg about getting a, lower one. I will take pics but it looks like crap right now. But i dont let it run till if gets 200 psi . it is a little tank. 8 port. I dont really know what the he## im doing . Wiring is a pain for me. It is just a frame right now and i think i have it hard wired to the batt and thats why it is not turning off. Its always getting power . does that make sense.???

Re: Air Ride Troubles>
The power goes to the switch, not the compressor. Run the + to one side of the pressure switch, then the other side of the switch goes to the compressor. That way, when the pressure in the tank is low, the switch will "close" and turn the compressor on until the tank is full.
It might also be a good idea to run a toggle switch between the battery and the pressure switch in case there is a slow leak so the compressor isn't running when the truck is in the driveway. |

Re: Air Ride Troubles>
It will also help to know which compressor you are using and with what size tank. If your pump isn't capable of putting out 200psi then that will be a problem as well as if it isn't able to fill the size of tank you have to 200psi. But as far as your valve goes, you definitely have a problem with that side either sticking open or it is getting constant power and staying open.

Re: Air Ride Troubles>
Good point. I didn't even think of a compressor not being able to reach the level of pressure to shut off. I ran a 140-160 switch because my bags are rated at 160 and my gauges only go to 150. I think I might bump the switch up to 200 if the compressor is running a lot to keep the tank full. But I have a feeling I will hardly ever be running my bags (if ever) at 150 psi.
