How much lift in a bagged system

OK - i am swinging towards a bagged system in my truck, but need some insight. I am an avid fisherman/camper. In theory I want a a lower truck for cruising, but since I am really into fishing and camping, I would like to air up the bags so my truck is at stock height or even above stock. Are there bags out there that would do this? A lot of fishing/camping locations that I go to are on old logging/service roads and have a lot of potholes. If I can't get the height needed with bags, is there something that anybody recommends?

Well, if you run Slam Specialty RE7 bags, I think they are a total of 7" of travel. If you look at the picture I posted of my truck, you will see the front with air and 2.5" drop spindles is the same height it was stock. I can drop it to about 4" off the crossmember.

My truck isn't as low as some, but that is by design. I used RE7's up front and RE6's in the back. I also didn't cut my front cups and may install a small cup in the back to keep it off the ground.

Sounds like you would benifit from a rather simple setup. CPP has a nice bolt in notch for the rear and you can run bags in the stock location if you have a coil spring truck. On the front you can just run a set of bags and cups from suicidedoors. It will get you low enough to cruise and still get you back up to where you want to be for the rough roads.

Even without a notch, mine sits about 12 inches off the ground in the back with the bag in stock location, and when the front end wasn't toyed with and had stock cups and factory spindles, it was a perfect setup and sat level.
