Opinions on positraction

Ok, I know what the pros of having posi is. What is the downside of posi on a daily driven 350 hp GMC. It won't be driven in the snow but will surely see rain. Lots of highway time! Thanks in advance.

having had posi rears in vehicles since the 60's i've never had any problems in snow or rain that adjusting my right foot couldn't have solved

my current truck has a posi, but ive owned a previous one with an open. I will say the posi has more of a tendency to spin free around a corner when it's raining, but once you know this, you simply lay off the pedal when turning in wet conditions and you'll be fine...

P.S> its way more fun to see 2 black streaks on the pavement instead of 1!

In my opinion, there isn't any situation that you're better off not having both tires putting power to the ground. Like fishmunger said, it will come around in the corners while on the gas, but once you learn how to behave yourself, and be aware of what's happening, you adjust and you'll be fine.

I've been stuck with 3 tires on dry pavement, and the right rear just barely off the road in the snow. If I had a posi in that truck, I could have pulled straight out, instead, I had to rock back and forth until I got that one tire back onto pavement.

2 black stripes are way cooler, too
