Door panels and seats
I was thinking of doing this to my truck down the road. I think it looks simple and clean. Seems like the person had some extra molding left over that they added to the door. I never use the pull straps so I think this would work for me. My current seat is in awful shape on the drivers side. The springs and padding is so shot to the point of where it makes you feel as if your driving a low rider. The drivers side is torn and the padding is exposed. I was also at the salvage yard and I saw a seat from a 84. Springs and padding was in good shape, but it's faded and starting to wear thin on the drivers side. They quoted me a price of 85-100. It's obviously going to need a new cover later down the road, but I can't see myself paying that much only to have to recover it later this year. I also saw a late model bench maybe 88 up. It was in really good shape. I know that the later model seat sits alot higher, but I was thinking I could adjust the tilt steering and deal with it. What do you guys think? I haven't gotten a price on the later model bench, yet.

Re: Door panels and seats
Here's what I did to my door panels. I think it's a much cleaner look than stock and more durable than the faded fabric and carpet.

Re: Door panels and seats
If yyou don't need a bench waht about some buckets with a center consal? My seat is bad like yours and i am going to get it reupolstered or find a nce bench that will work. my seat kills my lower back As for the door panals i think that is a great idea. mine were so messed up that the Po wrapped them in carpet. looks pretty decent for what it is.

Re: Door panels and seats
Hey 84 400 the P.O. did a nice job on the door panels. It's gonna take alot of work on my bench. The springs are busted to the point of where I'm almost sitting on the floor. You may need after market seats that would give you better support for your back.
