Any one use these headers???
Are these Summit Headers any good??? My friend says the primaries are too big but I have no clue. Heres the specs:
Chevrolet/GMC: 1967-87 265-400, 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton, 1 ton truck, 2/4WD, 1 1/2 in. primary tubes, 3 in. collectors, headers They are at Summitracing.com HotRod

My dad just installed these on his 70 c10 with a 350 and they fit good with no probs. He's happy with them and they were cheap.

I was also wondering how good these headers hold up you sure cant beat the price.

Yea that was going to be my other question. Will they hold a good seal with the gaskets?

So far so good. Had pretty thick flanges.

How low are they below the frame...can you still lower the truck? How about clearance on the starter? Did you have to put a heat shield on it? Hey...got pics?

1 1/2 into 3 is a little odd. Lots of the guys here use the Hooker Comps. There a 1 5/8 into a 2 1/2 collector. I run em and there great. The Hookers are thicker wall tube also.

I have the same headers on my truck. I have had them for 2 years with no problem sealing. I did the old drag racing trick of cutting between the primary tubes.
