I still have other pics if anyone wants to see but will have to reduce them.

Re: anyone seen one of these
The US Forest service drew up a set of plans to take a military blazer (or any K5) and do that exact modification to the top. I'll have to look on my other computer because I think I have the site bookmarked where I saw it.

Re: anyone seen one of these
that is interesting... I would suspect that it is custom homemade setup.

Re: anyone seen one of these
I have seen a couple of those and they were the rear section of the regular blazer tops that were sectioned .

Re: anyone seen one of these
Yeah, you can see the seam. Now the question...why?I mean,I don`t think it looks good,if you want the top off...take it off,if you want it on...put it on,and if you want a pickup...they`re not hard to find(and they can haul more).

That may have been done at a time when the cab extenders were popular on trucks. I guess he was going for a sporty look. I think he missed...
One of the forum members recently built one like that for a 69-72 Blazer. He did a decent job of getting the proportions correct.

Re: anyone seen one of these
Well I found it finally. Here's a link to a PDF file containing Very detailed instructions to do this mod. Although they didn't use the back section of the fiberglass roof to cap the rear off. So it looks a little different, but the end result is the same.
I don't see the need to do it, but I can understand the Forest service needing a truck larger than a Jeep but smaller than a regular 1/2 ton truck to get into some tight areas. Here's the link: http://www.roscommonequipmentcenter....ects/rec62.pdf

I have one of the fiberglass rear covers for a Blazer made by CRPonline(? they don't exist anymore best I can tell). The pictures I've seen of them mounted make them look odd - they are too "thin" for a lack of better words. I didn't get the bulkhead with it so have been thinking about how I could get around that. Seems like you just gave me drawings for everything I will need. Thanks!

Re: anyone seen one of these
That looks like one heck of a water trap at the bulkhead. I hope he's got drains in there. Thats some creative work to keep the stock rear glass.
