Traded Step for Sub!
So, driving home last night, i see this 60-63 2wd suburban at Papa Murpheys, so i decide to stop by and check it out. I talk to the guy, and turns out he says he has a panel for sale. Well, i go today, and its a suburban. But, i put the step up for trade, and he wants it, so we trade. This weekend we will be trading. Its a 64-66 orange and white sub. It has no fenders, hood, or driver door on it, yet i am getting them from him. Here are the pics!

Does the chia pet in the left quarter glass come with it? LOL!! Looks pretty solid and with the ft windshield out you didnt have to worry about rust.

Re: Traded Step for Sub!
You sound like you made a good deal, and thats all that matters. Let no one take that away. I and Im sure others can see a "finished" project in what others cant. I agree keep the progress pics comming !
For what it is worth, I have always liked the old "burbs., and yea it will take some, ok ok lots of work, but thats the fun of it , the before and after . |

Re: Traded Step for Sub!
Thats the only pic I still have in my computer. I wish I would have known about this site sooner. I was trying to get rid of my sub locally and no one wanted it in peices. So I sawzalled it up an threw it away, I would have gave it to you. Minus all the good stuff I spent money on! Oh well I got a short bed 64 now and everything will bolt on that. Sorry to hear about your panel getting burned. I keep seeing a 64-66 panel with a 6" chop for sale on the Sac craigslist but they want like $4,000.00 way to much! Keep an eye out for a short bed fleet for me! The only things I have left from my sub is the rear tailgate-hatch, back window, and the front seat. I already promised the tailgate- hatch-glass to Nathan at PorterBuilt.

Re: Traded Step for Sub!
Awesome trade. There's a sub at the local junkyard that everytime I'm there I gota go look at and I want one so bad... Unfortunately lack of space and my c10 plus other project get in the way.

Re: Traded Step for Sub!
I've got an extra passenger side door if you need and I saw a suburban and a short fleet at a wrecking yard in Oregon near Cottage Grove. The name of the wrecking yard is Walker Auto Recycling in Saginaw,Oregon. I have faith in your skills and I think that sub well look really cool shortly.

Re: Traded Step for Sub!
Sorry ahven't posted earlier, been busy w/ midterms. It's about 3 hours north, bout 30 minutes outside seattle. The junkyard is a small one called Halls Auto Wrecking I think is the actual name, and its in issaquah, by xxx drivein if your familiar w/ that, its where they have the chevy truck meet and such during the summer
