Man this is gonna hurt...
so i have run into some serious financial hardships with my Bride to be and I am considering selling my K5. This is not an easy thing for me because for the last 2 years its all ive known, maybe that was the problom.
Anyways If you guys could help me out what would you think a rig like this would bring me here in the NW? It is as rust free as they come and is all original steel. 350/350. Newer 92,k motor with the serpintine setup. Comp Cam. Flowmaster exaust. 13" suspension lift by skyjacker and ORD flip. 16x10 helo maxx rims wrapped in BRAND NEW 38x15.5 Mickey Thompson MTZ's. The top is like new with no major issues, the hatch works and locks perfectly. Anyways heres some photos but if you need more info let me know. PS i hope i didnt break any rules by putting this here...

Re: Man this is gonna hurt...
Will the sale of the blazer get you out of the money situation 100%?
The other real question would be, is the reason for selling it 100% monetary? If it were rarely used or something similar then sure, sell it but being it's been your life for the past two years why let it go? Looks like a very nice K5, I'd try to find another way IMO. Starting into a marriage carrying baggage of regret is a rough way to begin. (off the soap box now) |

Heck yeah, don't sell it....there are tons of illegal activity in which you could engage in to make all the money you need. BTW, nice truck.

Re: Man this is gonna hurt...
I agree with the other guys, you will probably regret it in the long run if you sell it. See if there is some other way, Do you have equity in a house?
If you were going to sell it I would have to think you could get 15k -20k, but I am no expert and I live on the east coast.

Re: Man this is gonna hurt...
DUDE, seriously think about this..... What is the underlying problem here and maybe we can help. I just went through a bad ordeal too and it all worked itself out without having to sell off my projects. Can you get a loan against your Blazer? If the misses doesnt like you working on what you love, is she the one for you?

Re: Man this is gonna hurt...
you all bring up good points, And it wasnt like she was forcing me... actually when she found out just now about this post she almost killed me...
Im actually in the middle of selling my house but still comming up a little bit short. The funny thing is I got the phone call this morning from the real estate agent that the possible buyer accepted my counter-offer.... soooo.. in about a month my probloms should be over. In actuallity i dont think i could ever sell this thing. It would be going against everything i stand for. Rides before Brides right? haha. Anyways sorry for the spotanious post but if you all have a price range im still interested in what its worth anyways... This is why i joined this forum. Whithout you guys i might have done something real . Thanks!

Re: Man this is gonna hurt...
We just didn`t want to lose you, bud.I`m sellin`stuff I never thought I could, but I have back-up .I could never sell out.I realize with my wife gone I`ll be needing my projects more than ever and have the time, finally.Anyone I meet in the future will know me as a guy that likes to spend time w/my project. My X liked my truck interests, too. It wasn`t that, for sure.
I`ll take a stab here. But,I`m not encouraging you to sell.UNDERSTAND??!!! I`m thinking $12-15K.Markets vary, but Ebay could pull that out of it.An educated buyer is what you need. You could sell it all day long at $8,500-10,000.I wouldn`t.

Re: Man this is gonna hurt...
That is one sweet rig - I'm glad it looks like things might work out for you. I really couldn't make much of a guess on what your K5 is worth - it is very nice - the right buyer would pay a fairly sizeable amount of money and get his moneys worth.

Re: Man this is gonna hurt...
I agree w/ everyone, especially K, the right buyer, educated in the fine arts
of 67-72 classics will give you top dollar, the problem is there are as few of those as there are our rigs, I think $15K based on a few on Evil Bay that in the last few months have sold for that or more. The problem is location, you are closer to Cali than me, and that is where all the deep pockets are, I am proof because I am in TN and couldn't move mine, I tried 2x and gave up
