Fuse for radio
I am installing a factory AM radio in my 69 GMC out of my 70 GMC parts truck.
What type of fuse goes in the fuse box for the radio? I am thinking that my power lead from the radio plugs right onto the front of the fuse box.

Re: Fuse for radio
Radio feeds off the heat fuse (to check just flip fuse up on one side to see if radio goes off.)

Re: Fuse for radio
The fuse labels in that photo are a little off, if you have a non-ac truck. The radio fuse is the one labeled "heat", and should be 3 amps. If you have AC, things are a little different, look in the factory service manual for your year, it tells you exactly what is different with a factory set up.

Re: Fuse for radio
Well that helps, my heater motor wasn't working and the fuse was good. But when I changed the AC fuse the heater motor was getting power again.
