Steering Column
Looking for some help with aftermarket steering column measurements. I'm getting ready to purchase a column and my old 3 speed column measures 32" long x 2" diameter. Seems like a standard universal aftermarket tilt column would work, but both flaming river and ididit list a specific column for our trucks. Does anyone know what the model specific version gives you over the universal? Anyone know why flaming river lists a 1.75" diameter instead of 2"?
Thanks in advance. |

Re: Steering Column
I don't think a 1/4 of an inch will make much diff...Many people have used those columns with no problems.. Most of us just use a van tilt column... I did.. Anywhere from years 76 to 79 for sure.. This is for an automatic swap.
