Old guy, new truck
I take delivery of this rig next week. Just in time for the July 4th celebration. She is a '66 Chevy K10 with a factory 283, 4-speed and running gear. She also has a big back window and less than 50,000 original documented miles. I can't wait to drive her around town.

k14burb:
Thanks for the kind words from you and the other posters. I take delivery on Friday, June 29th. I can't wait to take her for a spin. This one is called BIGRD66. I will get this on the antique license plate for the truck. All of my trucks have names on the antique license plates. Below are a few other trucks in my '64-'66 Chevy truck collection. Enjoy. |

fercho71:
Standard features in 1966, required by federal law, included reverse lights, seat belts, side mirror and windshield wipers (2-speed wipers with wiper fluid resevoir). On column shift trucks, the reverse light switch is integal with the switch on the bottom of the column, a few inches up from the floor board. On floor shift trucks, the reverse light switch is at the foot of the shifter. It looks like this: |
