Not my style, but they'll work!

Welp, these arent my style really, I dig the rallys I had on there a lot more, but, just picked these up because my rallys would not stop rubbing up front, got 17x10 on the back, and 17x8 on the front, they are old school Boyds got them for 175 all they need is some buffing!

I now need some 1" spacers for the back, the tires don't clear the inner bed side, and I also need some new rubber, they are toast on all 4 rims, someone want to throw out some sizes that'll make em look better than current? Maybe Boatpuller can steer me in the right direction, what are you running?

For the rear nothing narrower than 295, for the front nothing narrower than 255. Aspect ratios you figure out on yer own depending on how tall you want them wheels to be.

It should be, however it really depends on the manufacturer and model of tire - Firestone Firehawks for instance tend to run a little on the narrow side, so a 295-wide Firehawk may end up narrower than a 275-wide BFG or Cooper.

Thanks guys! haven't mounted them again yet because all 4 rubbers are flat, so I'm hopefully going to get some new ones this week if I play my cards right...

In those first pics the veins looked like they were painted black.
But they polished up real nice! Great find!

Re: Not my style, but the'll work!

Dunno if it matters but hoosier dot tires last for ever and look greak with white letters i had some on the 82 also i have used general xp 2000 White letter tires on last years race car and they held up good as well and had good grip so. I inow for a fact that viper radial gt;s are trash they are a soft compond dont gip and wear fast so id stay away from them and i think the wheels are killer and the stance is just right.

Make sure you put them on directionally correct before you snap your next set of pics!

They look great, much better cleaned up.

You can only get one side correct. Those aren't true directionals, so one side will be running "against the grain".

I thought they were kinda cool with the black on them since that seems to be the latest trend. Now that I see them cleaned up I like that better. Looks like you need a Mothers Powerball....

I did not know that...hmmm.

You know what, that would really bug me if they were on my truck...but then again, I think you know me and how anal I guess I can be about the details.

They are good looking wheels though.

Re: Not my style, but the'll work!

Man I used a mothers power ball on 3 of them, the power ball mini, it shined them up a little, but not a lot, you cant notice at 10 feet, and that power ball pretty much fell apart on me, I was very disappointed... Are there such places as professional rim polishing places? I think I gotta take them there.
