Spark plugs and gap after HEI conversion
After doing a HEI conversion on a 73 c20, 454, should I use a different spark plug and should the gap be changed to 60?
Motor is stock except for a mild cam and edelbrock performer carb 750cfm. Thanks |

Re: Spark plugs and gap after HEI conversion
Use the same plugs, but gap them to .045". Old factory specs for early HEI motors called for .060", but they redid the specs after they started eating plug wires prematurely.
