painting inner fenders
do the inner fenders need heat resistant paint?

No, usually people don't use heat resistant paint on inner fenders. If you are doing a lot of hauling up steep grades and creating a lot of heat in there it would be a good idea.

Just base coat/ clear coat..

what about that thick puddy stuff that came original(black) on the inside of the fenders. Anyone know about it, or what the product or similar products are called?
I want to put it under my cab as well for protection from the elements. |

I think today they call it POR-15... Good stuff for the rust.. Acually you can just paint it over rust..

I think he is talking about undercoating. You can buy it in spray cans. Be careful, it is messy.
