right height
I am new to this board I have read some of your posts and i see thier is a lot of knowledge here. What i would like to find out is the standard height on a 71 2 wd 1/2 ton . Iwant to lower mine using 4in drop spindles in front with new standard coils.what will i have to buy for drop coils in back. to make my ride even. all my tires are p/235/75r/15 what was the original tire size on these trucks. thanks in advance for any info. biglou55

Generally to make it even peple get an inch lower in the back than in the front. IF I am not mistaken you have the stock sizt tires that the truck came with.

To get 4 inches of drop in front you will need to go with 2.5 drop spindles and 1.5 drop springs. And to get it level and low you will have to drop the rear 6 inches with drop coils and with it that low you will need to c-notch the frame and relocate the shock mounts. I personally only went four inches in the rear and 2.5 up front and got it pretty low without the extra hassle of the notch in the rear, and the new alignment up front.
