77 Silverado Less Engine/Tranny

I found this 77 Silverado minus the engine and tranny. The guy said he would take $200. It's in good, not great, shape, but has a few rust spots on the rocker panels infront of the doors, at the bottom of the doors, and the front of the hood. Other than that, needs some interior work and total repaint. It would be worth that for the price of parts alone, i suspect. Does not appear to have been wrecked. Rear sliding window looks to be aftermarket. Grille is aftermarket but has the bowtie emblem; not usually seen on A/M parts.

Re: 77 Silverado Less Engine/Tranny

yeah, that cab and front clip would look good on my 76 shorty frame.....

Get the seat recovered, drop in a motor, shave the trim (unless you do two tone in my oppinion) and youll have a nice truck there with a layer of paint. Wheels look in good shape, maybe some white letters and bam instantly set the truck off.

I would buy it. It looks as if it was originally paint code #53 Yellow. I have a 78 k-10 that color and is a good looking color when new and shiny, something my truck is not.

Re: 77 Silverado Less Engine/Tranny

I would buy it just for the cab at this point! That's what I really need is a rust free cab.... Buy it and part it out if nothing else... Or buy it and throw a motor and tranny in and use it for a daily!

Re: 77 Silverado Less Engine/Tranny

have been looking for a bedside for my '75 for a little bit --- prices for beds in junkyards are more than your complete truck there, and usually not in great shape

So just with that input - i would say that truck is worth $200. The front crossmember and suspension setup is valuable to 67-70 guys because its an easy disc swap, the bedsides are valuable - tilt steering if it has it, -- i could go on and on ---------------- or -------------------- get a tranny and a donated 305 or 307 (people give them away to get them out of the garage frequently) - and drive it and fix it

your choice bro, but you its hard to go wrong with a $200 truck like that
