WIW- stock 79 suspension

ive not messed with these much-- but a guy at work wants to trade me his used 6" front lift springs, 4" rear blocks, and lifted steering arm for the stock 3 leaf 1/2 ton front springs, and steering arm off my 79. i figure his lift kit is worth $100-150 as is, but i need to know what stock 79 3 leaf-leaf springs are worth..

the kicker to the deal is, i have to do the swap. he's an auto-body painter and hates mechanical work. the bad to doing it, is the 79 is my wood hauling/farm truck, so thats just 6" higher i have to throw everything that goes in the bed. of course, that is 6" more crap i can run over without hitting the frame too

Re: WIW- stock 79 suspension

Would be a Lot of work on your Part, Only + would be if you were in the Market for a Lift................

If Shocks were included & Good It would Probably bring around $ 200.00 for the Kit

Good Luck, Rick

When Might you be Coming to Huntington Again??

Re: WIW- stock 79 suspension

i believe shocks were included, but not positive... thats a good point. the more i think about it, i believe im going to try and find another set of 3 leaf front springs and do the trade. i do want his lift for later on, but im not ready to lift mine right now. ill lift it when i put a body on it worthy of driving

the next definate time will be around christmas-- not positive what days yet, but for sure around christmas. we havent really decided yet if we're coming between now and then though. hope all is going well up your way thanks for the response!
