H2 swing away spare tire mount
Has anyone installed one on a K5 or fabbed a similar one up and mounted it up using the bumper bolts?
http://www.premierhummer.com/hummer_...e_carrier.html Wish I could find one cheap if it will work. |

Could see it for a daily driver but it's gonna kill the departure angle on a wheeler.

I think the O-riginal is way better, it holds the tire up and out of the way.

Re: H2 swing away spare tire mount
This one isnt stock, Im looking at a stock one tomorrow that A guy wants $200 for. Any body work with a stock one? The guy said it just bolts flush to the back of an H2 so it shouldent be too hard to rig up.

Re: H2 swing away spare tire mount
my budy made his that way using the rear spindle off an Accord I think. Fabbed up his own bumber & carrier. I'll see if I can get some pics soon. Been bugging him to get on this site for over a year. I'll bug him some more tomorrow.

Re: H2 swing away spare tire mount
Okay, here are pics. As I said, the right bumper is important, and not all H2 mounts are the same. I'm not sure what year model this came from, but it worked perfectly after I cut the bracket down to fit, and then made a latching bracket for the other side.
