Re: exaust exit?

Most run them out the side so fumes don't come in the rear hatch. Mine are tucked up under the truck and turn down toward the sides right behind the rear wheel. I don't notice any issues with fumes in the truck, even with the soft top on.

Re: exaust exit?

Exhausting. Weld all areas where pipes are joined. Then exit the tail pipes where the exhaust fumes cannot find a way to enter the cab or damage paint. I like the looks of straight out the back, the old hot rod way.

out the back is great for a truck, not so great for blazers

Re: exaust exit?

I recently changed the exit tips from side to rear ....AND YES THE FUMES ARE AN ISSUE !!!!
I love the look of the rear exit tips but if I were to change them again I would go back to side exit tips !!!
I have sealed up the tailgate pretty tight but still get some fumes.
Its not fun to end the day of cruisin around with a splittin' headache

I'm NOT looking forward to how it will be with the full-size hardtop back on it for the fall/winter !!

Re: exaust exit?

Definitely sides behind the wheels. It helps with fumes and it will also help protect your exhaust tips if you're off road.

Re: exaust exit?

The Fox exits out the sides in FRONT of the rear tires. No fumes, and great for smoking out the guys in rice-burners or the drive-thru

Re: exaust exit?

My exhaust is kinda funky. I bought it like this, but the tips stop well short so the tires don't fling stuff on them. I don't notice the exhaust fumes. Maybe I should say, I don't mind the exhaust fumes.

Re: exaust exit?

I originally wanted to exit out the back on my 72 Blazer but this thread convinced me otherwise. I bought the LMC turbo complete exhaust and I am very happy with it!
