where can I buy a flip kit?
I have searched the archives, and am STILL looking for a good place to buy a flip kit and c-notch kit for the rear, and drop spindles; all for a 71 GMC C-10. Please advise!! Also, I want to replace the ball joints, tie rod ends, etc., and wondered if it is better to try and find an entire front end kit, or just buy individually from the local auto parts store.
Thanks in advance! Oh, I know the rear stuff can be fabricated, but I would rather just spend the money and buy pre-fabbed, as my time is rather limited.

Early Classic or bell tech should have them. if you have a welder and a torch/plasma cutter you can make you own. But i've installed plenty of belltech flip kits so i'd hit them up first.

To answer my own question, and for the benefit of Primered69,
NO ONE really makes a "flip kit", and so you will need to go to a trailer manufacturing shop, and buy a saddle for a three inch diameter axle housing. You can just use everything else from your existing setup. As far as the C notch goes, just order one from Classic Industries. Yeah, they're 128.00, but go out and get some good 1/4 inch steel and see how much fun it is to fabricate a GOOD looking and structurally accurate bracket. I don't know what your time is worth, but for the few hours it will take, I'll just buy it. Also, the front end components can be had at the local parts store for far less than I could seem to find them as a kit from anyone. Of course, I don't know ALL the places to check, I was hoping to get a lead on that, but most kits I did find were 350.00 and up. Anyway, this is what I have found. Good Luck.

Thank you!!!!
Yes, Belltech lied. They swore they had nothing to fit my truck, because I kept insisting they did from what I gathered on the internet. Oh well.

steering components
as far as the from steering components, just go pull an assembly from a junk yard. From a newer truck you will have to put diff. ball joints in which come cheap from a local parts store. If you are going lower and using a newer spindel out of a salvaged 73-86 rather than doing it right, you don't have to pull the whole upper and lower control arms. On the one you want to drive you will need to shim the upper control arm to fix the camber.

Just another source for lowering components...Performance Suspension Components. I have made several purchases from them and they were pretty good to deal with. Most of their lowering components are Western Chassis.

Another source is Stylin Concepts for DJM flip kit. I got one from them and it includes the shock extenders. At the same time I got a 3" DJM drop spindle, all for $279 and lucky me, free shipping!

well im a 73-87 guy so i dont know how much of this will apply to you guys but perfomance suspension technologies as well as performance suspension components make new suspension kits. they have websites but i cant remember exactly what they are. you can also get them with polyurethane bushings rather than the stock rubber. i bought my front end rebuild kit from pst and my spindles from psc(they sell western chassis, excellent stuff) hope that helps.
