Free Stuff for 77 Trucks
Got the hood, gate, and trim given away. Door is still available.
Door is usable but needs so body work under the trim line. Not warped or damaged otherwise. My Mother brushed up against a steel post at the gas pump yearts ago. Window would still crank and lock works (minus internals). FREE!!!! Fact is, in retrospect, I SHOULD have kept this and let the paint guy straighten it out as it is SUPERIOR to the door I got from LMC. The LMC door is about 3/4 inch too short for the opening at the bottom. Very disappointed in the LMC door. Last edited by LBJ; 02-06-2008 at 09:55 AM. |

Re: Free Stuff for 77 Trucks
The shipping is going to be expensive. You would have to REALLY want these parts to pay for shipping. However, I DO have a box that my new tailgate came in and should work to ship the old one. The new unit said 60 pounds on the box, so I would expect the old one to be the same. Figure shipping on 60 lb from zip 76110 to your location and see what it would cost. I would also mention that it MIGHT have to go truck freight since it is somewhat oversize. That's going to bump the price of shipment too. I recommend that these parts be a local pickup only, otherwise, you may be spending too much on the total outcome. Chevy parts STILL has around 50 of the NEW Chevy tailgates. I got mine for $425 out the door. Compare at LMC for $700.
The hood has never been bent due to frozen hinges. It is in good shape except for the rust pattern on the very front of the lip in the photo. I imagine it could be fixed but that's up to you. |

Still free stuff for coming and picking up. Tailgate is VERY useable with you supplying the hardware. Hood never bent. Door very usable with some bodywork.
