Block hugger headers

Do any of you guys know if these will fit our style of trucks? I found a set of ceramic coated street rod headers that I may not be able to pass up if they will fit my truck. The only thing of concern to me is whether or not they will clear the motor mounts on my 4x4. I figured that if it had been done before, somebody on this site has tried it. Thanks in advance guys. ...Joe

I can't remember the eng. mount location on a 4by but if there fwd of mid block they should work.

Re: Block hugger headers

You might check with cochino12. He had some on his yellow 2wd and he has had at least one 4wd. He probably knows the answer to your question.

Re: Block hugger headers

Have a set of Sanderson on my 79 w/sbc, had to cut one mount just a little to clear, I believe it was the driver side. Have had them on for probably 8 years.

Re: Block hugger headers

Wow! Yeah that's exactly what I was looking for. Did you have any problems with clearance with the motor mounts? Do you have any pics of the driver side? Thanks for responding! ...Joe

Re: Block hugger headers

Thanks! You really helped me out a LOT in making my decision! I'm going to buy those headers for the 350 that will be going in my truck! I'll just have to get a custom exhaust system made for them, but I would have needed to do that anyway. These headers are priced so good that I just don't think that I can pass them up. They are the ceramic coated ones, so they should last for quite a few years. Many thanks again! ...Joe
