old gas, and 2 cycle gas
I have about 3/4 gallon of gas as well as about 1 gallon of mixed 2 cycle gas from last fall that I need to get rid of. I heard that it was ok to dump it in the tank? doesnt sound right to me, anybody know where to get rid of old gas?

Re: old gas, and 2 cycle gas
Check with your city recycling dept. Ours just opened up a section for liquids like oil, gas, and antifreeze. I would assume you being from Denver (a city a million times larger that where I live) they should have that service too.
If not, just pour the straight gas into the trucks tank at the station right before you fill up. If it's only 3/4 of a gallon it shouldn't make a difference when it's mixed with all the fresh gas. Third option...Do you have an extra tire and an ex-wife?

Re: old gas, and 2 cycle gas
Pre-mix won't hurt it--- I still race 2 stroke mx bikes and this has been an issue with me before (usually by accident) --- but if i have a jug sitting around and i cant remember if its mixed at 50:1 or 32:1 or 110 octane vs. 93, i just dumpt it in the truck and go get frsh gas for the bikes.
LOL - the truck doesn't seem to care and it like the race gas, even with a trace amount of oil. If its dumped in an already somewhat full tank, the oil is really heavily diluted and would be no more harmful than some of the other crap i see people putting in their tanks (octane boosters, fuel system cleaners, acetone, etc.)

It's not really a big deal. I've done the same with old premix that I didn't want to run in my bike. If anything, I figured it would lube everything up real nice. It might smoke a little, though.

It'd be fine in your truck...but if you're worried about it....use it in your lawnmower...hahaha!
