Stepside fender ?

I have a 66 1/2 ton short box PU and I found some decent rear fenders from a 64 5 or6 GMC 3/4 ton long box. Are they the same fender? Thanks Steve

The rear stepside fenders are interchangeable between the lwb and swb stepside beds...the length difference is taken up in the step. Stepside rear fenders are the same from '55-'66.

A few subtle differences include the option driver side scallop for the spare tire, as well as indentions of the reverse lights...some have these features and some don't.

I hope this information is helpful in your search for stepside rear fenders.

Re: Stepside fender ?

I believe they were backup lights. I'm sure that's what Tony meant.

Re: Stepside fender ?

Thanks for the correction...I had a brain cramp. You are correct that they indentions are for reverse lights, not tail lights, as I described.

Thanks for the heads up.

Re: Stepside fender ?

Thanks again. Went and bought them today. A real nice right rear and a very fixable left rear for $25.00 each. Got them at Upull it in Omaha
