need ideas on polishing new intake

I have a new aluminum intake but I would like to smooth it up a bit so it is easyier to clean,I tryied high heat clean on another but it turns yellowish after.Would fine sand paper work or would i get uneven marks,I tryied a little on a alternater and came out streeky looking,any ideas

Try with a dremel it's a good polish machine

Go to www.starquestclub.com and there's info on a company those Conqest fans use to highly polish the factory aluminum wheels. I use to be a member, but sold my quest a couple years ago. Don't miss it either!

/wow ---i would never have thought there would be enough Chrysler Conquests/ Mitsubishi Starions running around still to justify their own forum !

Pretty quick cars though --- but still weird that they have a following (but then again, some people think old gas guzzler trucks are weird too)

I sold mine for 3 times what I gave for it! It lives in Connecticut now. I still have some parts laying around if you ever need some...

Anyhow, those guys use that company for the wheels, timing covers, valve covers, etc, and they turn out beautiful! I tried to do my wheels myself, but just fudged 'em up!
