Has Anyone Tried Utility Buckets.....
in thier pickup?? I like the fact that they are small, compact, and simple.
by the way, does anyone repop the covers. I haven't looked too hard, but was wondering all the same.

I don't believe the covers are reproduced.

Re: Has Anyone Tried Utility Buckets.....
Utility buckets came in base models. They are very plain and simple. The backs are steel.I know in the panel trucks they came as a drivers seat. The passenger seat was optional.I have never seen one without a passenger seat but all I have seen are listed on the SPID as equipted with the passenger seat.Possibly they were used in Sub's and Blazers but I would think only in COPO models for companies like the Railroads,Forest Service,or Military.
the passenger side backs fold down and the whole seat flips forward on it's frame to allow haulin longer items. The drivers doesn't. I don't see why they wouldn't work though the backs will be the same thickness as the bench and mounting will require drilling and maybe strengthening the floor. For seat covers and cushions you will be on your own unless you can adapt the cushions/covers from the better buckets. Just a few things I know about them.

tcb-1, I just saw these lastnight on CL. I think these would look good in a truck.

Re: Has Anyone Tried Utility Buckets.....
420am, I saw those as well. your right they would fit, but I want to go with a low back seat
wonder if utility's were ever factory installed in a pickup? probably only in C50 and C60s? next question. I am correct in the thinking that a bucket seat cab floor and a bench seat cab floor were molded different..... not just drilled for different seat configurations??

Attached is a picture of a '72 Blazer floor turned upside down and rotated 180° relative to the bed floor behind it with the bucket seat mounts noted.

Re: Has Anyone Tried Utility Buckets.....
Utility Bukets never came in pickups or cab`n`chassis. They were mostly in Panels and Blazers.A fewrare Sburbans had them, too. They were sold as one or a second was optional.
