2x4 tube c knotch can anyone give me some rough measurements??
i have some 2x4 tubing at work and i want to cut and weld up some c knotches for my 66 i am planning to lay the frame on 20'' wheels can some one suggest some measurements that worked for there truck i cant get any measurements off of mine right now and i want to cut and weld up a pair nice government job!!!! any help would be a great thanks!!!

hey thanks for the reply i was begining to wonder if any one was going to help me out it has 20 wheels as i said but i am running very low profile tires but i would like to have a little extra i can make them a little lone then trim them back also thanks for the help

The typical notch is approx 8"....I would say FAB up a nice deep notch, and you can always 'fill-in' with the install of a nice bump-stop if needed.
Again, what is the overall diameter of the tire ?? Do you have a tire size your thinking about ??

i agree about the extra depth! the tire diameter that i have is 26.20 and would like to lay frame also what would be a rough angle to make it i wouldnt normally have to ask but i cannot get to my truck before i am going to make these so just asking for help so i dont have to make them over again later thanks for the replies you can see the truck and wheels at http://groups.msn.com/ROLLNLOW/thec10.msnw

The frame dimensions offset over the axle. consider this when you build them since your not buiding them in place. I can get you both measurements if you would like.

I may be wrong on this, but for some reason 60 degrees is coming to mid for a notch angle. I did 45 degrees before, and the angle way too flat.
