Wiring question
I'm putting a tach in my 60 and I'm siting here looking at a wiring diagram in the shop manual trying to figure out which wire (coming out of the light switch) I need to tap into to get the light in the tach to turn on when I turn on the headlights. If I'm reading the wiring diagram right (fat chance of that!) I can tap into the light green wire and have a light in the tach when I turn on the headlights. Am I correct? Or is there another wire I should tap into? Thanks.

Re: Wiring question
No. Tap into any Light Gray wire you see.

Re: Wiring question
Here's a link to a wiring diagram from a 60 Chevy car. Basic wiring should be the same for a pickup.
http://chevy.tocmp.com/electrical/wiring/pdf/60car.pdf It shows the wire from the fuse block to the panel lights as grey. This would be the wire to tap into. If there is a place on your fuseblock labeled panel lights, it's the ideal place, but I can't recall if there is. You do not want to tap into the wiring from the headlight switch, it is not fuse protected.
