Re: your first car
I guess my first would have to be my '64 C-10, but not long after I got it I got my '69. The '64 got put on the backburner while I fixed up the '69. Now I drive the '69 to school and am digging into the '64 to build a flatbed hot-rod to cruise around in.

Re: your first car
1980 or so. Paid $600 for it. The interior was just painted charcoal and silver. The 292 ran great.
Painted it, then drove it through High School. Chopper |

Re: your first car
Glad to see another c10 highschool driver. I drove my 66 all through highschool. Was the only car on bags in my highschool, was awesome w/ all my friends w/ the lifted trucks and I had the slammed one. I miss driving that thing now that I'm away at college.

Re: your first car
I'm 16 and have been driving my '64 Ford truck to high school every now and then. It's my first vehicle. My buddy, who's also 16, will be driving his '65 C10 to school too, as soon as he gets it on the road...
Next thing on the list is to get these trucks lower... |

Re: your first car
Let me ask you this:
When asked whether or not you would like to receive a running and driving '64 truck with the original paint, drivetrain, and everything else intact (including the Custom Cab package) for FREE, would you care whether it be Chevy or Ford? I'm sorry for posting the heinous pic , but it IS my first vehicle... Just messing around! Last edited by Reyals Bemus; 05-03-2008 at 05:38 AM. |

Re: your first car
My first car was a '69 Chevelle..........307/t350 that I bought in high school w/ 14k on the clock. I'll have to scan a pic. Sold it w/ 83k and threw in the seeds and ashes for free. You could hide the stash behind the Astro Ventilation ball in the dash!!!!

Re: your first car
Oh, highschool truck memories...
Here's my first ride- the 55 big window- shortly after I got it in '96. While working at a Maaco and learning the bodyshop thing, I eventually "fixed" the body and had the guy paint it for me. And then I sold it because it was cursed. Seriously.

Re: your first car
Here's mine. My dad gave me his 68 CST factory bucket seats 350 3spd. I fixed it up a little, then he decided he didnt want me having a V8. Plus I had to stand up and put all my weight in it, to turn the steering wheel at slow speeds lol. What I ended up driving was a 85 Dodge(mitsubishi) D50. That was a major step down. My senior year I bought the 65 panel (It's not the same one I have now)

Re: your first car
My first car, a 1963 Chevy II SS, was originally purchased by my grandfather in October 1963 (I have the bill of sale). I ended up with it in 1982. I don't have a scanner handy for the old photos, but I still have the car and here is what it looks like today.

This isn't mine but it's just like the one I had in high school but mine was pale yellow with green interior and a black top. I sure miss that car.
