long bed frame question for you guys
have any of you longbed guys ever replaced the frame and rolling chasis with one for a 73 up frame? if so was the frame too long and what about wheel well spacing, I have access to a 76 chevy 2wd long bed that is being scapped for parts for practically nothing and I thought this would be a good idea

Re: long bed frame question for you guys
We have installed a 55 second series on an 82 chassis. Needless to say frame had to be shortened to match original 55 wheelbase, but this was an easy job. Custom fabricated cab mounts will also have to be made to attach the cab. We used the original 55 rubber bushings and made brackets to the frame to mount the cab in the right location (fore and aft and hieght.) Ours worked out well with very few problems.
